(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today defenceman Will Brophy has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
The Worcester, Massachusetts native suited up with Noble & Greenough in the United States High School Prep League (USHS-Prep) last season.
At 6’5”, 201lbs, the defenceman led all blueliners on his squad in scoring with 20 points (4G, 16A) in 27 regular season games. The right shot rearguard turns 19 years old this October.
General Manager Rob Sklaruk showed his excitement about the signing saying, “We are very excited for Will to join the club and bring his size and skill to the Grant Fuhr Arena. His high hockey IQ and style of play will fit perfectly within our backend.”
The Saints would like to welcome Will and the Brophy family to the organization!
After claiming the North Division Championship for the fourth consecutive season in 2022-2023, the Saints start their 2023-2024 campaign on home ice, taking on the Grande Prairie Storm on September 15th at 7:00pm.
