Two minutes into the second period, Liam Hughes scored a shorthanded goal to again put the Oil Barons up by one. Then, with three minutes left in the middle frame, Watkins puts home his first of the night to tie the game at two.
Headed into the third period with the game tied at two, Brandon Spaulding (Agawam, MS) scored to give the Saints their first lead of the night. Then, just over halfway through the final frame, Ryder Matter scored to tie the game at three.
Overtime was a series of back-and-forth opportunities. Two minutes into extra time, Watkins got his second of the night to achieve the game-winner! The Saints went on to defeat the Oil Barons in a 4-3 conclusion.
