Blue White Game Recap
By: Adam Kulak
Day 3 of Saints training camp concludes with the Teams annual Blue/White game for fans to get a first look at who will be on the team now and possibly in the future. This would be the last inner squad game before the Saints kick off the preseason against Drayton Valley here tomorrow.
It was a slow start to the game but late in the first period, Carter Myrol would open the scoring for Team Blue on a backhand from the hashmarks.
Things started to open up more in the middle frame, Team White would get on the board, but Team Blue added three more to hold onto a 3-goal lead. Nathan Bohmer would get two in the period as he would finish a Seth Fyten feed a minute in making it 2-0.
Halfway through the period Seth Fyten would roof it off a feed from Tanner Klassen making it 3-0. Team White would respond just 15 seconds after as Evan Arnold would get White on the board off a play out front.
Nathan Bohmer would add his second of the game with a couple minutes left in the period off a Tanner Klassen feed as the Blue squad would hold a 4-1 lead so far in this game.
Team Blue would add one more goal in the third period to extend their lead to 4. Sam Vincent on a 2 on 1 would go bar down for his first of the game as Team Blue would take this game by a final score of 5-1.
That will conclude the inner squad part of training camp as the preseason gets rolling tomorrow with split squad games against the Drayton Valley Thunder.
Puck drop is 3:00PM and 7:00PM both right here at the Grant Fuhr Arena.
