The Spruce Grove Saints are excited to announce their 2021 Saints Skills Camp, an off-ice stickhandling and shooting camp. This year’s camp is presented by Belvedere Roofing, Queen Street Dental and the Cooperators – Ashdon Agency.
The Saints Skills Camp will run from July 19th – 22nd on the Stu Barnes Arena playing surface.
The on-ice development sessions will be led by Head Instructor Jeremy Schaefer. After a successful junior career that saw Schaefer play 329 Western Hockey League (WHL) games, he was chosen 177th overall in the 1994 NHL entry draft by the Boston Bruins. Schaefer went on to play 100 games of pro before pursuing coaching and player development.
The camp will also feature current Spruce Grove Saints Captain Graham Gamache, who is committed to the University of Minnesota-Mankato as well as Saints veteran defenseman Logan Acheson and Breck McKinley as instructors.
Reid Schaefer will also be a feature instructor. Schaefer played one season with the Spruce Grove Saints, and has now taken his talents to the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League.
Don’t miss this chance to get teaching and feedback from five well respected and knowledgeable hockey players. This camp will feature three separate age groups, broken up into two sessions each.
