Saints welcome home two, add third…

The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce 3 additions to their roster.  Returning to the Saints are Connor Hoekstra and Carson Samoridny, while joining the team is newcomer Curtis Toneff.

Connor rejoins the Saints after starting the season in St Albert, playing locally for his hometown St. Albert Merchants in the Capital Junior Hockey League. Although Connor only played 30 games last season with the Saints, he played in a combined 52 games after starting the 2012-13 season in Canmore. In those 52 games Connor had 8 goals 7 assists for 15 points, while adding in 76 pims.

Carson rejoins the Saints after a blistering start to the 2011-12 campaign that saw him tally 9 goals and 2 assists for 11 points in his first 15 games as a Saint.  Carson spent the two years playing sharing his time between the Everett Silvertips, Calgary Hitmen and Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League. In those two years he accumulated 11 goals, 12 assists for 23 points & 78 pims in 103 games played.

Curtis joins the Saints from the Merritt Centennials after a recent transaction that saw Merritt acquire Curtis' CJHL rights from the Trail Smoke Eaters; both teams of the BCHL.  Curtis tallied 4 goals 9 assists for 13 points & 42 pims while starting the year in Trail for the Smoke Eaters.

Whether returning or joining, the Spruce Grove Saints would like to welcome all three to the Saints Family.
