(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today, defenceman Michael McIntee has signed with the Saints for the 2023-2024 season.
The De Pere, Wisconsin native suited up with Notre Dame Academy last season in the United States Highschool Hockey – Wisconsin league. Standing at 5’11” and weighing in at 181lbs, McIntee put up 26 points (6 goals, 20 assists) in 23 games played last season.
General Manager Rob Sklaruk gave his thoughts on the Wisconsin native joining the team. “Michael is going to be a solid edition to our back end. He will bolster our back end by providing steady offense and reliable defending with his skating and compete level. We are looking forward to getting him in the line up as soon as possible.”
The Saints would like to welcome Michael and the entire McIntee family to the organization.
The Saints head out for a mini two game road trip when they take on the Drayton Valley Thunder tonight and the Olds Grizzlys on Friday before returning home on Saturday to host the Grizzlys at the Grant Fuhr Arena. Game time is 7 pm.
