Saints Sign Kaiden Emond For Upcoming Season

(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today forward Kaiden Emond has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

Emond is a member of the Calgary Royals U18AAA program, who compete in the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL). He has compiled 19 points, (5 goals, 14 assists) in 21 games played this season.

The Calgary, Alberta native has played two games with the Saints this season, making his AJHL debut on December 11th, 2021 vs. the Brooks Bandits. The 5’10″, 165lbs forward has tallied two assists in two AJHL games played so far this season.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk is excited to add to his already deep group of forwards for next season saying,

“Kaiden plays the game with pace, he’s not afraid to get into dangerous areas of the ice and attacks the net hard. He skates well and is very quick to important spots on the ice. He’s very underrated one on one and will bring energy to the lineup for our club next season.”

The Saints take on the Grande Prairie Storm this Friday night at the Grant Fuhr Arena at 7:00pm.
