(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today forward Hunter Bill has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
The Green Bay, Wisconsin native suited up with Notre Dame Academy in the United States High School Prep League last season.
Bill, a forward standing at 5’8″ and weighing 159 pounds, had an impressive performance during the regular and postseason. In the regular season, he led his team in scoring with 48 points, averaging two points per game, putting up 19 goals and 29 assists in 23 games played. During the postseason, Bill contributed eight more points over the course of five games.
Bill’s success extended beyond this campaign. During his three seasons with Notre Dame, he accumulated an impressive total of 107 points in just 61 games.
General Manager Rob Sklaruk spoke about the high caliber player joining his team, saying “Hunter has all the tools to become an impact player on our team. He can cause turn overs and make a smart first pass. He also talented and extremely creative on the offensive side of the puck. I would like to welcome the Bill family into our organization.”
After claiming the North Division Championship for the fourth consecutive season in 2022-2023, the Saints start their 2023-2024 campaign on home ice, taking on the Grande Prairie Storm on September 15th at 7:00pm.
