(Spruce Grove, AB) –Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today the club signed to twenty-year-old goaltender, Beckett Langkow for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season!
Langkow, who hails from Vegreville, AB, joins the Saints after spending the previous three (3) seasons with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Know as an athletic 6 ft – 175 lbs goaltender, Langkow appeared in 53 WHL games last season, while posting a 3.05 Goals Against Average (GAA), .888 Save percentage (S%) with an overall record of 25 wins, 20, losses and 7 OT/Shootout Losses.
General Manager Rob Sklaruk noted the importance of adding another proven veteran to the team. “Beckett has been a player we coveted since his he was a member of the Fort Sask Rangers Midget program. He has played a prominent role, in a high-pressure position, in a big junior hockey market. That level of experience, coupled with his technical skills and athleticism made it a no brainer to add him to our group when he became available. He is another player who knows what it takes to be a true pro, he will be a major asset to our team.”
