Saints Sign Fechko Brothers For Upcoming Season

(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today the Saints have signed brothers Trey and Marcus Fechko for the upcoming season.

19-year-old Trey and 17-year-old Marcus both hail from Raritan, New Jersey but both developed with the Edina High Hockey Program in Edina, Minnesota.

Last year Trey suited up with the Trail Smoke Eaters of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) where he notched 23 points in 25 games, including nine goals and is already committed to Arizona State University for the 2024-2025 season. Marcus skated with the Windy City Storm in the High Performance Hockey League U18 Division (HPHL18U) last year where he scored 13 goals and 11 assists in just 15 games. Both brothers will suit up for the Saints this season.

“We are very happy to add Trey and Marcus to our club this year,” stated Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk. “We feel their skillset will fit perfectly with what we have on the roster right now. They have both proven that they can score at all levels.”

The Saints would like to welcome Trey, Marcus and the Fechko family to the organization!

After claiming the North Division Championship for the fourth consecutive season in 2022-2023, the Saints start their 2023-2024 campaign on home ice, taking on the Grande Prairie Storm on September 15th at 7:00pm.
