SAINTS LOCK UP UKRAINIAN HRABOVETSKYI FOR UPCOMING SEASON

(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today forward Artem Hrabovetskyi has signed with the Saints for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.

The Bila Tserkva, UKR native suited up with HC Sparta Praha U20 last season in the Czechia U20 league. Standing at 6’0 and weighing in at 182lbs, Hrabovetskyi put up 10 points in 26 games played last season.

Hrabovetskyi’s achievements extend far beyond his club play, securing the title of Ukraine U19 Champion in 2018-2019 and perhaps most notably earning a silver medal at the Division 1B World Junior Championship in 2022-2023, where he compiled four points in five tournament games played.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk spoke about the high caliber forward joining his team. “I am thrilled to have Artem join our organization, his dedication, skill, and commitment to the game are evident in each accomplishment so far throughout his career. Our future is bright with Hrabovetskyi as part of our program.”

After claiming the North Division Championship for the fourth consecutive season in 2022-2023, the Saints start their 2023-2024 campaign on home ice, taking on the Grande Prairie Storm on September 15th at 7:00pm.
