Saints Lock Up Babich For Upcoming Season

(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today forward Alexander Babich has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

The Chicago, Illinois native split time last season with the El Paso Rhinos and the Anchorage Wolverines in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), where he compiled a combined 19 points (12 goals, 7 assists) through 59 games played.

Babich, 5’10” and 179lbs, joins the Saints after already committing to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), who play in the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC). He will be joining the NCAA Division one squad for the 2023-2024 season.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk is thrilled to sign the veteran forward for the upcoming campaign saying, “ Alexander is an extremely high character kid that plays with a lot of jam. He is a strong skater who will compete in plenty of key situations.”
