Saints Fall 4-3 To Brooks In Overtime

In an exhilarating showdown between the Spruce Grove Saints and Brooks Bandits, the Saints were defeated by the Bandits with a 4-3 overtime score.

The Bandits took an early 1-0 lead one minute into the game when Logan Sawyer found the net. Shortly after, Alexander Babich from Chicago, IL, equalized by sending one through the five-hole, making it a 1-1 game. Nathan Free then scored on the powerplay, putting the Bandits ahead 2-1.

The second period belonged to the Saints, with goals from both Ethan Kronewitt (Stony Plain, AB) and Stephen Kirkpatrick (Edmonton, AB). As a result, Spruce Grove entered the third period leading 3-2.

The third period opened with Jordan Hughesmans scoring on the powerplay, leveling the score at three and pushing the game into overtime.

Despite the Saints displaying impressive skills throughout the game and overtime, their offensive prowess fell short. Luke Marshall secured the overtime goal, securing a 4-3 victory for the Bandits.
