Spruce Grove – Head Coach & General Manager Jason McKee has decided to take the next step in his career by joining the Vancouver Giants of the WHL as their new Head Coach.

McKee joined the Saints as an assistant coach in 2008-09 and took over as Head Coach in the 2010-11 AJHL season. During his time as Head Coach, McKee has amassed a 273-54-31 record in six seasons with the Saints, winning 4 AJHL Championships (1 as an assistant coach). McKee leaves the Saints after twice being named to the Canada Junior A Challenge, Team West Coaching Staff, (once as an Assistant and once as Head Coach). Coach McKee has also been named AJHL Coach of the year twice and CJHL Coach of the Year once.

“I will always have very fond memories of the staff I have worked with, the players I have coached, the volunteers, the sponsors of our hockey program and the great fans of Spruce Grove. I would especially like to thank Darren and Cheryl Myshak for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to begin my Head Coaching career here with the Saints” states Jason McKee. “I am looking forward to writing the next chapter in my career with the Vancouver Giants organization”.

The Saints have already begun the process of looking for a replacement for the now vacant position.
