Saints Aquire Van Os-Shaw from Humboldt

For Immediate Release: Spruce Grove AB, The Spruce Grove Saints have acquired 1997 born forward Chris Van Os-Shaw from the Humboldt Bronco’s in exchange for 1997 born forward Conner Lukan and a player development fee.

Van Os-Shaw a native of Regina SK, joins the Saints after finishing 7th in SJHL league scoring last season with 36 goals, 32 assists, and 48 penalty minutes in 56 games. In 96 career SJHL games the 6’3”, 206 lb forward amassed 100 points, tallying 52 goals, and 48 assists for a 1.04 points per game average.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk had this to say about acquiring Van Os-Shaw. “Chris is a big body with exceptional speed and goal scoring ability, which is a combination few players in Jr. A have. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to add a player of Chris’s calibre to our organization, as they don’t often become available.” Sklaruk continued.

“Conner has been a key contributor to the Saints for the past three seasons. He has a tremendous work ethic and many great leadership qualities. It was a difficult decision for our organization, and one that we didn’t take lightly. We want to thank Conner for everything he’s done for the organization on and off the ice and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Lukan leaves the Saints after registering 28 goals, 36 assists, and 145 penalty minutes in 161 regular season contests.

Van Os-Shaw is expected to arrive in Spruce Grove this weekend.
