Saints Add Two New Forwards

The Saints have gone out before the official trade deadline and acquired 2 new forwards to help bolster their lineup.  92' Forward Casey Knight Joins the Saints from the Lloydminster Bobcats in exchange for 94' Forwards Liam and Mitch McNamara and future considerations.  Casey brings leadership and playmaking ability to the Saints after scoring 27 points in 40 games while wearing the “C” with the Bobcats.  The hard-nosed two way player is a welcome addition to the Saints who at times have had troubles scoring goals this season.  The Lloydminster Bobcats also sent 92' Forward Jason Wark to the Saints however he was immediately flipped to the Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL along with future considerations for 92' Forward Kevin Lacroix.  Lacroix comes to the Saints after battling them for the past few seasons as a member of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.  He was shipped to Flin Flon at the December 1st deadline and has found his way back to the AJHL through the aforementioned trade.  Kevin is a big body forward that has a scoring touch.  He is most effective when he uses his large frame to command an avenue to the net and finds a way past opposing goaltenders.  Lacroix has 22 points in 29 games played this season and the St. Albert native seems excited to join the team and push for top playoff rank.  The two players will make their debut Wednesday, January 9th at home vs. the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. The Saints look for a little revenge after their 7 game winning streak was ended by the MOB in the last game of 2012.  Game time is 7pm if you can't make it to the rink tune into the broadcast via the Saints website or catch the pay-per-view at AJHL.ca.
