Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today the club has acquired the CJHL playing rights of 2002 born goaltender Tristan Martin from the Olds Grizzlys in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
Martin, from St. Vincent, Alberta joins the Saints after spending two seasons with the Grizzly’s organization.
Saints GM Rob Sklaruk spoke about his most recent acquisition saying, “”Tristan is a big body, with great hand eye coordination. We think he has tons of upside and room to grow within our system. He is already settled in well with the team and we are excited to see him develop and contribute within our group.”
Martin has already practiced with the team and will be on the road trip as the Saints take on the Oil Barons for a two-game set in Fort McMurray Friday and Saturday.
