Saints acquire defenseman Forrest from Mustangs

(Spruce Grove, Alberta) – The Spruce Grove Saints have acquired ‘97 born defenseman Brad Forrest from the Calgary Mustangs in exchange for ’99 born forward Liam Freeborn and future considerations.

The 20-year-old Calgary Alberta native joins the Saints after his second stint with the Mustangs posting 3 goals and 10 assists in 23 games thus far this season. Forrest was previously with the Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL) appearing in all 144 regular season games from 2015-2017. In those 144 contests, the 5’11 ft. 185-pound defensemen compiled 4 goals, 31 assists and 65 penalty minutes.

In 116 career AJHL games all with the Mustangs and 150 career WHL games Forrest tallied 50 and 36 points respectively.

Forrest is expected to make his Saints debut on Wednesday, November 22 on the road in Lloydminster and his home debut Saturday, November 25th vs. Grand Prairie for $5 ticket night.
