(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today defenseman Adam Lang has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

After impressing the hockey operations staff at the Saints 2021 Main Camp, the 2005-born defenseman from Sherwood Park, Alberta went on to compete in the Alberta Elite Hockey League’s U18 AAA Division with the Sherwood Park Kings. Through 29 combined regular season and playoff games played, Lang compiled six goals and five assists for 11 points. He then went on to help lead the Kings to a first-round playoff series victory over the Canadian Athletic Club.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk is thrilled to add Lang to the blueline for the upcoming 2022-2023 season, saying, “Adam is a hard nosed, highly competitive defenseman with great knowledge of the game. He is a very strong skater who possesses an excellent first pass. I am looking forward to seeing Adam in a Saints uniform this coming season.”
