(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today defenceman Isaac Abbott has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

Abbott spend the last three seasons with Deerfield Academy in the United States High School Prep League, where he played 31 games, tallying nine points (4G, 5A).

The Saints currently have one former Deerfield Academy athlete on the roster. Will Holland played for Deerfield from 2019-2021 before joining the Saints this season.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk is pleased to add another member of the Deerfield Academy to his organization for next season saying, “Isaac comes from the highly regarded Deerfield Academy and we are excited to sign him for next season. He’s a heavy, strong and smooth presence on the blueline and positions himself well in the defensive zone.”

The Saints would like to welcome Isaac and the entire Abbott family to the organization!
