Local Product Dunn Added to Saints Roster

Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today Coster Dunn will be joining the club for the 2021-2022 season.

Dunn, a local Stony Plain, Alberta product joins the Saints after starting the season with the Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL), where he was drafted 139th overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.

Prior to this season, Dunn played for the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers U16AAA club, appearing in three games, putting up three points. Before his time in the Alberta Elite Hockey League, Dunn developed in the Hockey Super League U15 Division, playing two seasons with Saints Pro Hockey Academy, where he played 52 games, totaling 99 points.

The 16-year-old sits at 5’11″, 161lbs and is expected to join the team this upcoming weekend.

Saints General Manger Rob Sklaruk spoke about the newest addition to his club saying, “Coster has good speed, high end skill and will elevate our level of play in all three zones. His tenacious style will allow our team to dictate the type of game we play. We are looking forward to seeing Coster make his Saints debut.”

The Spruce Grove Saints are on the road tonight in Camrose, taking on the Kodiaks at 7:00pm. Fans can catch all the action on the Saints Radio Network (mixlr.com/sprucegrovesaints) starting at 6:45pm. The club is back on home ice tomorrow night at 7:00pm when they host the Blackfalds Bulldogs at the Grant Fuhr Arena for the first time in franchise history.
