Larkin Scores Winner, Langkow Stands Tall, Saints Defeat Pontiacs 2-1 In OT

Nicholas Larkin, hailing from Nepean, Ontario, secured the game-winner in overtime, leading his team to a 2-1 victory over the Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Luka Sukovic notched the sole goal of the period, giving the Pontiacs an early 1-0 lead.

In the early stages of the second period, Evan Sundar, from St. Albert, Alberta, executed a backhanded shot that found the back of the net, equalizing the game at one. Following Sundar’s goal, the Saints’ penalty kill unit successfully thwarted both penalties to maintain the score at 1-1.

The third period evolved into a goaltending duel, with Beckett Langkow from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Bodee Weiss showing remarkable resilience in their respective nets. The game ultimately headed into overtime.

Just two minutes into the extra period, Ryder Matter, representing Leduc, Alberta, played a strategic role while Larkin unleashed a powerful shot, clinching the victory for the Saints and returning them to the win column.
