In last night’s game, the Spruce Grove Saints took game four as they defeated the Bonnyville Pontiacs by a final score of 3-2!
Early into the first period, Liam Watkins (Okotoks, AB) opened up the scoring to give the Saints a one-goal lead. Then, at 16:25, Ethan Kronewitt (Stony Plain, AB) scored his first of the post-season to end the period with the Saints leading 2-0.
Six minutes into the middle frame, Max Seguin scored to cut the Saints’ lead in half. Soon after Seguin’s goal, Kronewitt put home his second of the night to restore Spruce Grove’s two-goal lead.
The third period’s only goal belonged to Quinton Gove, who scored four minutes in to bring the Pontiacs within one. The Saints went on to defeat the Pontiacs with a conclusion of 3-2 and take a 3-1 series lead!
