Gamache Secures Future with Saints by Signing LOI

(Spruce Grove, AB) – The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce that 2002 born forward Graham Gamache has signed a letter of intent for the 2019-2020 season.

Currently playing for the Knights of Columbus Pats Midget AAA program, in 28 games played, Gamache sits in a tie for 6th place in league scoring with 12 goals, 21 assists and a Lady Byng like 6 penalty minutes.

Saints Assistant Coach Brennan Menard knew the Saints had to have Gamache after spending last season as his head coach in Midget.

“G (Gamache) is big time player with the drive and skillset to become a highly effective AJHL player. When I joined the Saints last summer, Graham was tops on my list of players to recruit after witnessing first hand the type of player and person he is.” Menard continued.

“I am a huge supporter of Graham and have no doubt he will do whatever is necessary to continue his growth and achieves his goals as a student athlete.”

Gamache’s play in training camp pushed him to the forefront of the Saints prospect conversation after being a late cut from the Saints last fall.

“Graham was a much sought-after player by many AJHL teams this year. We are excited that he has chosen to be a Saint.” Exclaimed Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk.

The 5’10” 165 lbs Edmonton native has appeared in 6 AJHL games as an affiliated player with the Saints, collecting 3 goals, while earning the trust of the coaching staff with his keen instincts and strong work ethic.

“Graham has been excellent with his midget team and really impressed our group with the maturity in his game when he played with our club this season. He is relentless in his puck pursuit, has great finish around the net and brings a level of compete that fits perfectly with our style of play.” Sklaruk finished.

The Saints would like to welcome Graham and his family to the team.
