Spruce Grove, AB – The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce right-shot defenceman, Loeden Schaufler (Dewinton, AB) has joined the Saints for the 2019-2020 season.
Schaufler comes to Spruce Grove via two seasons spent in the Western Hockey League with the Kootney Ice (Now Winnipeg), Seattle Thunderbirds, and most recently the Prince Albert Raiders.
In 73 regular season WHL games the 6 ft. 1 in. 185-pound defenceman tallied 10 assists and 28 penalty minutes.
Schaufler is no stranger to winning as he was part of the Prince Albert Raiders 2019 WHL Championship team this past season ? suiting up in 6 post season contests. Loeden was also a member of the Notre Dame Hounds 2015-16 Saskatchewan AAA Midget Championship team.
The entire Saints organization would like to welcome the Schaufler family to the team.
You can catch Loeden in his first games as a Saint this weekend when the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and Whitecourt Wolverines make their way to the Grant Fuhr Arena on Friday and Saturday, both games 7 pm.
