Brophy Dunne Awarded First Ever – Parker Tobin & Conner Lukan Memorial Scholarship

The Spruce Grove Saints are extremely proud to announce Saints Assistant Captain Brophy Dunne was chosen as the first recipient of the Parker Tobin & Conner Lukan Memorial Scholarship.

Both the Tobin and Lukan families have decided in an effort to continue honouring their memories, each family has generously created a scholarship to be awarded annually to a Saints player who is pursuing a post secondary education.

The player who is chosen for this award must exemplify what it means to be an outstanding teammate, a wonderful human being and a steward of the game of hockey who plays with passion and their love of the game is wildly apparent in their body of work on the ice.

Having Brophy as the inaugural winner of this scholarship was a no brainer for the selection committee.

“Brophy has been an outstanding teammate since his arrival” stated Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk. “He (Dunne) embodies what it means to be a Saint but more importantly shared the amazing characteristics that Conner and Parker possessed as individuals. The Saints are extremely grateful to the Lukan and Tobin families for their generosity and we look forward to continuing both Parker’s and Conner’s legacy for years to come.”

On behalf of the entire Saints organization, thank you to the Tobin and Lukan families and congratulations to Brophy Dunne.
