Brady Signs Letter Of Intent With Saints For Upcoming Season

(Spruce Grove, AB) – Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced today defenseman Morgan Brady has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.

Brady, a member of the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) which competes in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) has produced at a point per game pace with 15 points (3 goals, 12 assists) through 15 games played this season.

The Woking, Alberta product shoots right and is listed at 6’1″ and 174 lbs.  

Brady has appeared in five games this season for the Spruce Grove Saints, stepping into the line up seamlessly and notching 2 penalty minutes.

General Manager Rob Sklaruk sees another budding defensemen ready to join the stable of Saints d-men for next season.

“Morgan is a strong tough defenseman that wins a lot of 50/50 puck battles. He’s a good skater that makes a great first pass and is a puck transporter up ice if options are closed out. He (Brady) defends very well, is positionally solid with a great stick and will block shots. Has good spatial awareness and very good skill for a d-man. Very excited to see the ceiling on Morgan.”

The Saints would like to welcome Morgan and the entire Brady family to the organization!

The Saints are back on home ice this weekend for a pair of games. Facing off against the Canmore Eagles on Saturday night at 7:00 pm and the Calgary Canucks on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm.
