The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is defenceman Ethan Edwards of the Spruce Grove Saints. The rookie blueliner led all AJHL defencemen with 4 points last week.
Edwards (St Albert, AB) added 3 assists in a dominant 11-1 victory over the Fort McMurray Oil Barons on Friday night. He added his fourth assist of the weekend in a 4-3 win against the Grande Prairie Storm on Sunday.
Ethan is now 9th in AJHL Rookie Scoring with 16 points (6G, 10A). The 17 year-old is already committed to the University of Michigan (NCAA).
The Saints sit second in the Viterra AJHL North Division Standings and have compiled a current 7-game win streak.
